She posted a plea to her Twitter followers after her dog went missing but Dita Von Teese’s search for her missing dog Eva has ended in tragedy.
The burlesque dancer,39, has learned her pet pooch has died and she posted an update to her social networking site.
She said: ‘My beloved Eva passed on tonight. Thank you for all your kind words. It means a lot to me.’
Exactly how the pet pooch passed away is unknown.
On Monday the model appealed to fans to help her find her beloved canine after it went missing.
She posted to her WhoSay account: ‘My dog Eva is missing, if anyone in Los Feliz/LA sees her, email Cali@dita.net. Good thoughts for her return are also appreciated.’
Dita also posted a series of pictures of her pet as well as a shot of herself in lingerie with the long haired Dachshund.
The burlesque star was often seen out and about with her dog and she often included her furry friend in photoshoots with her.

Atlanta fans of Dita Von Teese, that femme fatale, model, burlesque star and actress with that unmistakable 1940’s retro chic, is now launching her very own lingerie line for Target Australia.
The very impressive vintage inspired lingerie collection is called Von Follies and includes a collection raging from Australian dollars $17 for a mesh G-string to $145 for the Von Follies Animal Print Fitted Chemise – all in extremely good taste and very, very sexy!
Von Teese explained that it was important for her to “accomplish the task of making these beautiful things in sizes that can make any woman feel sexy and glamorous,” and she’s “very proud” that they have been able to do just that, while keeping prices affordable. They feature E cups for bras and go up to Australian size 20 in briefs.
As for the design, the pieces were inspired by Von Teese’s private collection of vintage lingerie, to which she added, “There are so many vintage lingerie pieces I love that I haven’t been able to find in all my years of collecting. I wanted to design pieces that are tributes to my vintage obsessions, to make them beautiful and functional, while modernizing them for everyday wear.”
In that Von Teese has succeeded with featuring basic black lacy numbers with vintage style, using peacock blue as well as a more modern and on-trend touch with bold leopard prints. Though leopard was very much in back in the 1940’s and 1950’s – think luxurious leopard print coats!
While Target is planning on expanding the collection to other countries, you can rest assured that you can buy these online and have them ship your purchase to you if you don’t mind the shipping charges.

DITA Von Teese has cemented her love affair with Melbourne, scheduling a whole week to explore the city.
The burlesque beauty will fly into Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport on Monday morning ahead of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Von Teese will have plenty of time to get over her jetlag, with her first public appearance scheduled for March 9, where she will appear at Target in Chapel St to plug her Von Follies lingerie range and greet fans.
In a world first, the burlesque queen will don a selection of her favourite smalls on the LMFF catwalk at Central Pier, Docklands, the following night, accessorised with vintage pieces from her personal collection.
And, unlike many celebrities who jet in and out within 24 hours to promote their products, the femme fatale is making the most of her Melbourne sojourn.
The dainty 39-year-old is booking tickets to watch burlesque at The Famous Spiegeltent at Melbourne Arts Centre during her stay, and has flagged her desire to eat fresh seafood at a bayside restaurant.
Last year’s Derby Day Lavazza guest couldn’t get enough of our city, sampling Asian fare at Flinders Lane favourite Chin Chins and Albert Park’s Aja, and dining at Grand Hyatt’s Collins Kitchen and Grossi Florentino.
The cheeky glamourpuss was also rumoured to have caught the eye of a Melbourne male model.
